Winter relay results..

Well done to all our winners today. I hope you all enjoyed the race and did not get blown around to much in the wind. Also thank you for all your kind comments and I am happy to say that the race will now become a regular event on our race calender.

We did wonder if the distances where to long for a relay. Let know what you think.

Fast and Furious Duathlons Results

Well done to every one that raced today.

Its must have been the worse conditions we have ever had at one of our races. I was a amazed at the amount of people that still came out to race. I was like a drowned rat by the time I got home.

We hope you all still enjoyed the event. If any one has taken any photos that they would like to send me that would be great. I can then send them of to the locale paper and tri mags.

We have had a problem with the results. A few competitors went in the wrong wave so we are having to double check all the times.

Midnight Man 2014

We are pleased to announce that the 2014 Midnight Man will be held on the 16th/17 August 2014

There will be no price increases for the 3rd year running. Entrees will be go live at Midnight on the 31st August 2013.

We will be making a few changes to improve the event.

Midnight Man Results 2013

Sorry for the delay but I was held up on site. The lighting company did not pick up their lighting towers till this morning so I had to stay on site to look after them.

Having slept in a small caravan for 5 nights I have had it.

We all hope you enjoyed the event. My heart goes out to everyone that had multiple punchers. We tried to help as many people that we could.

Also to the competitors that misted the start due to problems on the M25. We delayed the start 15 minutes and kept registration open till 6pm. We could not wait any longer as the road had to be reopened at 4.30pm.   

On a positive note the Midnight Man will happen again in 2014. I will have a meeting with Kent Highways and the police if they are happy we will do it all over again.

We will be making a few changes to the race next year to improve the event. If you have any suggestions please let us know.

If anyone can help next year even if it’s for just a few hours please let us know. 

Last of all thank you all for your kind e-mail and I will pass on all your thanks to all the Marshal’s. Some stayed all night and did not go till after the last competitor crossed the line. They are all volunteers and without them the race would not happen.

Midnight Man Swim Update 24th July

 

I have just had a chat with the race referee and she has sent me the following.

 Age-Group athletes:

Swim Length Forbidden Above Mandatory Below
Up to 1500 m 22º C 14º C
1501 to 3000m 23º C 16º C
3001 to 4000m 24º C 16º C
If it is marginal then let the full race wear wetsuits but you can take the air temperature into account.
I am down the Lake today and will do another water test.
