NEWS UP DATE 15/09/2025

The 2026 Dartford Bridge Triathlon will be taking place on the 28th June.

I am just waiting for confirmation from Kent highways that we can close Bob Dunn way.

Unfortunately, there will be a very small price increases next due to the cost of everything going up.

This will only be out 2^nd price increase in 17 years. We will still be half the price of most other like for like races.

The other good news is because of the success of the test event we run this year we will be running a Sprint Triathlon in August next year as well.

Now the big ask. I will be 73 next year and its a big job running this event on my own. I am looking for a few people to come on board to help me. You will get paid for doing this and you will have the opportunity to take over the race.

Thank you to everyone that took part today in the 16th Dartford Bridge Triathlon. Happily everyone managed to get through safely as it as a no wet suit swim.

On line entry’s are now closed but we have set up a waiting list. 

The water was 25 degrees on Thursday evening. We will test again on Sunday morning but i sure it will be a no wet suit swim. 

The temperature on site does drop a lot over night. We will take a reading at 5am on Sunday morning just to confirm this.       

I will also post the water temp on Saturday evening when i get home.

A full race brief was sent out Thursday evening. If you did not receive this please check the start list to make sure you are on there.

We are please to announce the following.

The Sprint race is in the South Series.

The Standard distance race is part of the London Series.

For this reason we will be increasing the race to 400 places.

The 2025 Dartford Bridge Triathlon will take place on the 22nd June 2025.

We are still the best value Triathlon in the South East of England.

Everything has now changed for non BTF members. If you need a day license you will be directed to British Triathlon web site to buy one. This is because they need you’re  name and address for the day license.

2024 RACE BRIEF PLEASE READ THIS

Changes to the Bike and run course this year

The Standard 1500m swim (2 laps) then six laps (42k) of the bike course then two 5K Laps around both lakes for the run.

Aqua Bike 1500m swim (2 laps) then six laps of the bike course. Your time stops when you cross the Mat at the end of the bike course.

Sprint is one 750m swim (1 lap) then 3 7k lap (21K) for the bike course. Then one 5k lap around both lakes.

Super super Sprint is one swim 300m lap then 2 laps on the bike then 1 lap of the run 5k run.

The standard wave one will start at 6.30am wave 2 at 6.45am 

The fist sprint wave will be starting at 7.45am, Wave 2 8.00am

The Super Super Sprint will start at 8.25am.

Registration will now be by the container.

The finish will now be to the left of the transition area.

Standard Distance swim 1500m – bike 42km – run 10km

Relay swim 1500m – bike 42km – run 10km

Sprint Distance swim 750m – bike 21km – run 5km

GO TRI Distance swim 300m – bike 14km – run 3.8km

Aqua Bike swim 1500 – 42k bike.

Aqua Bike swim 750 – 21k bike

 We are old fashioned so you can still send in an entry form to avoid paying the on line booking fee.

Previous competitors have enjoyed this event enormously with a number of triathlon clubs using our race as their Club Championships.

We can also offer a club discount for group bookings. Contact us for more information.

Car parking is free and a short stroll to registration and the start.

In the event of us losing any part of the course we will turn the Triathlon into an alternative event. If we lose the road it will become an Aquathon. If we lose the lake it will become a Duathlon.

In the event of the race being cancelled due to bad weather you will receive a 50% refund 

 PLEASE NOTE: Swimming is forbidden in the lakes on The Bridge at any time other than for events or during authorised Open Water Swim training sessions. Any person found swimming in the lakes on The Bridge is committing an act of Trespass, will be asked to leave and will be barred from site and disqualified from all future events at The Bridge.
