News update
Due to the size of this years race we have moved back to the grass area by the lake
Each lap is 1k so for the 5k swim its 5 laps
Due to the size of this years race we may need to have 2 waves.
If we do the 1k Swimmers will start first at 10.00am. The 2nd wave will start 20 minutes later at 10,20am.
I will be taking to our water safety team over the weekend.
The other good news is the water is holding up in all this heat but we will be doing another water test 3 days before the swim..

2026 Race information please read this.
Thank you for entering the Big South East Swim
Race information.
Due to the size of this years race we have moved back to the grass area by the lake
Registration will open at 8.30am and the swim will now start at 10.00am.
Please bring a swimming hat.
I will post the Temperatures on the web site on Saturday evening but i am sure it will be a no wet suit swim.
This will be taken again at 8am on Sunday morning.
If you would feel more confident we are happy for you to wear a tow float if you wish but we would ask you to start at the back please.
We will have a few at registration you can use.
There are toilets and showers are in the visitors center about 150m away.
We will have a changing tent by registration.
Parking will still be in the Crosswater’s car park. Lake View House, Rennie Dr, Dartford DA1 5FU.
Please don’t leave any rubbish in the car park. We are very lucky to have the use of their car park.
This is about 300m from the race start.
Registration will be by the lake in the marquee. Follow the arrows.
There will be a short race brief before you enter the water to go over water safety.
We will have 10 boats in the lake looking after you.
To take part in this event you must have swam open water before.
You will be asked to sign a race waver form before the race to confirm this.
As its a bigger race this year there will be giving Trophies to the first 3 in each race.
Everyone taking part will receive an event technical t-shirt.
Sorry we dont have a food wagon but we will have soft drinks snacks in the finishing tent.
I will send out a 2nd e-mail on Friday as we always get a lot of late entry’s.

Any person found swimming in the lakes on The Bridge is committing an act of Trespass, will be asked to leave and will be barred from site and disqualified from all future events at The Bridge.
