Great news this year’s 10k will be going ahead on the 27th September.

Its turned into a cold and windy day but i hope you still enjoyed the race

2020 Bridge 10 results

Start list for the 27th September 2020

Due to all the Covid19 issues we have decide to limit the race to 100 runners.

A full race brief was sent out Friday morning with all the information that you will need to know. If you did not get this can you please contact me.

Race information for the 9th Bridge 10k.

It’s very important that you read this.

Thank you for entering the 9th Dartford Bridge 10k.

I will also bring some along in case you forget.

If you feel unwell and you may have the virus, please don’t race.

If you feel unwell after the race and could have Covid19 you must tell us so we can inform all the other runners.

We have limited the race 100 runners for your safety.

Registration will open at 8.00am and we will start at 9.30am.

We will have toilets on site and they are about 200m away next to the security office. 

We will have sanitation stations all around the race site. If you touch anything, please use them.

Parking will still be in the Sainsbury’s Staff car park. Please car share if you can as we have limited parking spaces.

The address is Rennie Drive, Dartford DA1 5FD 

Registration will be in front of the Van.

Due to covid19 there will not be any changing tents.

We also can’t have a bag drop but there will be an area that you can put any bags in to the right of the van.

There will be a short race brief over the PA but all you need to know is on this race brief

There will be rows of No 1 to 100 to the right of the start line on the ground.

Each number will be 2 meters apart.

Go to your number when we start the race. 

Please keep off the fast track at all time as the busses are still using the road.

We may need to change the run course due to building work taking place on the Bridge site. This will be confirmed on Sunday before we start the race. It will still be a 100% measured 10k course.

Due to Covid19 race rules we are not allowed to give out water on the run so please bring your own.

The race will now be run as a time trial with one runner starting every 10 seconds.

As we start each runner please move forward one number at a time. If the number in front of you is missing please tell the starter.

Unfortunately, there will not be any prize giving on the day due to Covid19 event rules.

I will contact all the winners next week to work out how we can get your trophies to you.

There will be no entries on the day

Please keep 2 meters apart at all times before we start.

Fun Run only information

The fun run will now be starting at 11.30am. Registration for this will be now be starting at 11am. Please keep away from other runners when you turn up on site. We will be starting you at 10 second gaps unless you are in the same family bubble.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Guidance for Road Race and Multi-Terrain Race Organisers in the UK

Road running

The UK Government have announced that outdoor sport and physical activity participation events in England will be able to take place from 11th July.
 
Whilst we look forward to the return of our sport, please note that all runbritain licenced races are cancelled until 31st July and this position will remain. The reason for this is that Covid-19 guidance to race organisers on staging off-track events that meet the Government guidelines issued on 10 July have been produced. Read the advice here.
 
It will be a condition of licenced races that they indicate that they have read the Covid-19 guidelines; have understood these new requirements and agreed to implement them as appropriate to their event. 
 
Please note that the Covid-19 guidelines will require: –
  • Race organisers to draft additional plans such as a Covid-19 Risk Assessment
  • A number of measures to be introduced which may require extra resource in terms of time, equipment, personnel and budget.
  • Additional communication with participants to update them on arrangements made by an event to mitigate against the risk of catching Covid-19
It should also be borne in mind that additional liaison with stakeholders such as Local Authorities and landowners could be required to gain their approval of the event.

2019 race information please read this

Thank you for entering the 9th Dartford Bridge 10k

We have 2 parking areas.

Parking is a big issue for us so if you can please car share that will help us.

Follow the signs when you come on to the site.

See the Site map

That will take you to first car park. There will be a marshal outside that will direct to the car parks. When this is full you will be sent to the 2nd car park will hold another 130 cars.

1st car park is Sainsburys. They have been kind to allow us to park 50/60 cars in their staff car park.

Sainsburys car park address is. Rennie Dr, Dartford DA1 5FD it’s about 600m walk to registration.

2nd car park is Crosswaters, Lake View House, Rennie Dr, Dartford DA1 5FU this is about a 400m walk to registration

Registration is now by the finish area.

Toilets are next to the security building  Dartford DA1 5PF

The race start is now close to the security building.

Run course map

There will be 4 toilets please can you keep them tidy.

We will have bike raking for anyone that will be cycling to the race.

Registration will open at 7.30am and will close at 9.15. This is where you will pick up your race number and timing chip. 

Bag storage will be at the finish area. 

The race 10k will start at 9.30am. The 2k fun run will start at 11.00am

There will be a short race brief at 9.25pm then you will be called to the start

We need to cross 4 roads on each lap. There will be marshals to help you cross. Please obey them at all times. Sorry but Head phones are not allowed due to safety reasons.

We will be given bespoke medals to all finishes.

Trophies will be given to 1st, 2nd, 3rd place over all. We will also be giving trophies in the following age groups.

Male 1st, 2nd, 3rd over 40, 1st, 2nd, 3rd over 50, 1st over 60 and 1st over 70

Female 1st, 2nd, 3rd over 40, 1st, 2nd, 3rd over 50, 1st over 60

1st Male and Female resident from the Dartford Bridge estate. Can you please let us know at registration if you live on the estate? 

The Children’s Fun run will start at 11.00am you can enter this on the day. All children will also receive a bespoke finishing Medal. 

Entry fee for the fun run is £3

Please keep of the road at all times as the buses will still be running. 

Due to the size of the race we have gone back to the old run course. This is 2 full laps around the whole site. At the end of the 2nd lap you will then run one small lap around the south lake.
